Will this base plate work on a 2011 Equinox LTZ with a 3.0 Liter Engine, with us using a Roadmaster Falon tow bar?/

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can indeed use Roadmaster base plates # RM-523160-4 on your 2011 Chevy Equinox LTZ and Falcon tow bar.
In addition to the tow bar and base plates you will also need safety cables, if you do not already have some, # RM-643.
For lighting you can use a simple magnetic kit such as # RM-2120 or, for a more permanent solution, a diode kit # RM-15267. It looks like some fuses have to be pulled to flat tow your Equinox (consult vehicle owner's manual to confirm). We have the following notes on this:
If you have a 4 cylinder model, leave fuse #32 intact and pull the ABS fuse instead. Note: some models may label ABS fuse as #15 or #16. You will also need to install a Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to supply power to the battery. An automatic battery disconnect cannot be used with this vehicle.
Tech Tip:
V6 models will need to use part number # RM76511.
You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have also included some helpful links to our series of help articles on flat towing for you.
