Question:

Is this the type of coupler that comes on Big Tex gooseneck trailers? It looks like it to me. I know it is nothing like a BullDog I have had on previous trailers. I’m looking for a lock for it but haven’t found the make anywhere online or on the trailer. All Big Tex says is square tube crank adjustable with 2 5/16” ball. Thank you.

I was not able to locate specific manufacturer information regarding the couplers that are used on Big Tex Gooseneck Trailers like what you have. With that being said, they do look very similar to the Ram Gooseneck Coupler # GCSQTW-30008 that you mentioned, with its square tube design and crank.

If you find that this is what you have, I recommend the Blaylock EZ Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock # BLTL-55-40D. This coupler lock is designed specifically for Ram gooseneck couplers and features a wide heavy-duty bracket that will fit around its base. A stainless steel padlock is included, along with 2 keys. It measures 11 inches long, 6-1/4 inches wide, and 4-1/2 inches tall.
