IM DISABLED I CANT LIFT MY LEG UP HIGH. IM INTERESTED IN THE KWIKEE 28. WHATS THE PROBLEM WITH THE MOTOR NOT SHUTTING OFF? IS THERE A WIRE HARNESS LONG ENOUGH TO REACH MY BATTERY DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO MOUNT IT ON MY TRUCK? WHEN CLOSED, WHAT IS THE DIMENSION HIEGHT

The Lippert Kwikee 28 Series Electric Step # LC3747452 is not designed for use on vehicles like a truck. I'm sure it is possible to mount it, but you would need to reinforce the frame for the correct mounting.
The motor issue you stated could be due to a bad switch but this is not a regular issue. If you were to install this on your vehicle you absolutely would need to run a power wire # 10-1-1 from the battery to the switch and run the negative to ground on the vehicle frame. I've attached the dimensions to assist. The retracted height is 5.88 inches. This installation would not be covered under the warranty.
The option that is actually recommended for your vehicle is to add nerf bar steps like # DZ3700301 to assist with entry and exit. I've linked the page to all of your options confirmed to fit your vehicle. Let me know if you need more help.
