Replacement Tire For 8.25-15 or H-78 15 Trailer Tires

Question:

can I use ST 205 75/R15 tires for emergency replacement tires for either 8.25-15 or H-78 15 trailer tires. I need to move an old 1969 Golden Falcon trailer with H78 15 tires that are deteriorated about 40 KM. I have new ST 205 75/R15 tires on another trailer. Could I use them to move the Golden Falcon?

The suitable replacement for H-78 tires would be the tire size 225/75-15 which is 1.3 inches different in diameter from the 205/75-15 tires.

I suppose you could get away with the 205/75-15 to get by in an emergency or temporary situation. However, my recommendation of a tire such as Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWTRTM2257515D will give you piece of mind. The maximum speed rating is 81 mph (speed rating M).
