Can 5.30-12 Trailer Tires on 4 Wide Wheels Fit in Place of 5.30-12 Tires on 4.25 Wide Wheels

Question:
The tire on my boat trailer is a 5.30x12c. On the tire, it also says Rim: 4.25. I notice your tires in the category of 5.30x12 are all advertised with a rim size of 4. I think mine require 4.25inch rim size. Would this .25inch difference matter? Im looking at the Taskmaster ta26rr

Expert Reply:
Four inches is the standard wheel width for 5.30-12 trailer tires. Any given tire size though can usually fit on a range of different wheel widths so that 1/4 inch of difference won't matter. The 1/4 inch difference also won't matter on the trailer so you can use Taskmaster 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 12" Silver Mod Wheel # TA26RR without worry!
