I do have options for you but when using a hitch adapter like part # HT5R or part # HTAD, the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle will be reduced by 50%. The tongue weight capacity of a 2016 Honda Accord is 100 lbs, therefore if you are using the adapter then the weight of the carrier and cargo on the carrier cannot exceed 50 lbs. In addition to weight capacity, the part # HT5R will require more than 3-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper and will not work for you.
If the weight of your cargo carrier and cargo on the carrier exceeds 50 lbs, I recommend using the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18110 which has internal dimensions of 47-11/16" long x 19-1/2" wide x 2-9/16" deep. The carrier also has an angled shank that elevates the platform for better ground clearance and easier loading.
I have attached a review video on the above carrier for you as well.
