Hey Zach. To control your 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid's lights from your RV, you'll need the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights item # RM38FR. This kit includes all of the wiring, smart diodes, and connectors you need to get your Escape setup to be flat towed. This kit also includes the 7-way to 6-way cord you'll need to connect to your motorhome.

Please note that the Curt item # C55VV you were looking at is a trailer connector. There are no plug in flat tow wiring harnesses available for your 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid.

Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates item # e74ZR

Baseplate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # RM77GR - Fits the standard hybrid and plug in hybrid only. If you have the ST-Line model you'll need the item # RM59GR.

Supplemental Braking System - Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR for a permanent install or the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR for a portable system.

Please note you will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM87GR if you go with any permanently installed braking system like the item # RVI94FR. This makes sure your braking system isn't applying when it's not supposed to.

If you go with a portable braking system like item # RVI44FR you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25. This keeps your Escape's battery from dying on your trip. The permanently installed item # RVI94FR includes one that allows you to monitor your Escape's battery levels from the in-dash monitor.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

What model hybrid is your Escape and what kind of motorhome do you have?

Hey Zach, how did things go with the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit on your Escape Hybrid? Did it get your lights working properly with your RV? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar flat tow setup.
