In relation to: The Global Link RV Entry Door Handle. Item: 295-000019. I am wondering if the interior latch and interior plate are plastic or metal?

I went out to our warehouse to confirm the materials used for the interior latch and interior plate on the Global Link RV Entry Door Handle, Item # 295-000019. The interior latch, interior plate, and almost all the components seem to be made of metal. The interior "red" handle felt like a hard, tempered plastic.
