How Wide of a Vehicle Can Fit on Roadmaster Tow Dollies
Updated 05/28/2025 | Published 01/31/2018 >
Question:
Ive been told my Honda Odyssey is too wide for some tow dollies. I need a way to tow it behind my 34foot RV. The Odyssey is a 2006 Touring Elite. The tow vehicle is a 34foot Thor Hurricane with a Ford V10. I do not want to use a tow bar because I plan to swap out the Odyssey for a newer model another Odyssey in the near future. What would you recommend for this application?

The Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 has a maximum usable tire width of 77 inches. So if you measured from the outside of your front tire to the other side and the distance was less than that this dolly will fit.

I have a highlander with 245/55R19 tires on it. The outside width from outside tread to outside tread is 76". Platform looks to be 77". It will obviously fit on the platform, but will the dolley fenders potentially hit the vehicle on a tight turn? Thanks
