Updated 01/30/2018 | Published 01/29/2018

Question:

Im currently looking at purchasing a tow setup for a 2011 Camry LE non hybrid so that I can tow a small 1,000 lb trailer load or a sailboat. Ive picked out the following items, but just wanted to make sure this is what I need, and that Ive pieced it all together correctly. Hitch: C12343 Drawbar: C45521 Wiring: C56079 Hitch cover: 22282 Ball: A-82

I will be glad to help you make sure that you picked everything out correctly.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12343 is a great option for your 2011 Toyota Camry LE and is compatible with the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45521 that you chose. The Curt 2" Hitch Ball # A-82 has the same shank diameter as what the ball mount does so they will work well together. The only thing missing is a hitch pin and clip like part # F-4 unless you wanted a locking hitch pin like part # 5200 instead.

You will just want to make sure that the 2-5/8" Rise or 3-1/4" Drop of the ball mount is correct for your towing application (see attached ball mount article) and that the coupler of your trailer is for a 2" hitch ball.

The Curt T-Connector # C56079 is also a great selection for your Camry. It will draw power from your battery to power the trailer lights through the 4-Way Flat connector.

The only part number that you will need to change is the hitch cover # 22282. This one is for a 2" hitch receiver. Since you will have a 1-1/4" receiver you will want the cover part # 22281 instead.

Be sure to check your owner's manual for any specific instructions on towing or towing weight capacities.

If you confirm that the ball mount and hitch ball are exactly what you need then you are good to go!
