Question:
I need a C55243 that is wired to work on a 2004 instead of a 99-2001.

I reached out to Curt and they said they do not have anything like that to fit anything past 2001 due to wire patents. So to get your 7-way, you will need to first get your 4-way connector. If you have the factory 4 way option, then you can use # C55265. If you don't have the factory wiring harness you will need # C56032.
Once you have the 4-way flat, you can then use # ETBC7 to get the wiring connections, and circuit breakers for 7-way connection. If you want to add a brake controller for full function of the 7-way, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is the most popular option due to functions and ease of use. It is a very reliable system that utilizes an LCD screen to bypass code deciphering of many other controllers on the market.
