The only way for you to pull a fifth wheel trailer with a 5-1/2 foot bed is to use a Sidewinder and fixed fifth wheel; a sliding hitch would not give you enough clearance between the hitch and cab and would not allow you enough space to turn without your trailer smashing your cab.
