Question:

I watched your video on the 2014 Ford Fiesta and it shows grounding to the negative battery terminal- my Ford Fiesta requires a negative battery disconnect to protect the transmission, can I just ground the braking system to the car Chassis?

According to the installation instructions of the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251, the white ground wire can be grounded to the frame of the towed vehicle, which in your case is a 2016 Ford Fiesta. Since you mentioned you need to use a battery disconnect your Fiesta must be an automatic transmission; since that is the case keep in mind that using the Stay-IN-Play will require you to use the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751450.
