Best and Easiest RV AC Unit Replacement for Dometic Penguin II Unit

Question:

I have a 2016 Coachmen Concord 300DS upgraded to 50amp that has a Penguin II 15K heat pump in main area. I am looking for a unit that is quiet and cools good to replace the Penguin. I would like to have something that I would not have to change wiring and thermostat. What do you recommend? Paul

It's the quietest and coldest blowing unit that also comes with an install kit designed to replace Dometic units like you have which means the wiring and mounting will be super simple. It will also allow you to continue using the current thermostat/controls you have now.

The link that came with your message is for an AC unit only. What is correct link/model for the unit I would need?

@PaulE The part number # FR42PV will actually attach to the same distribution box you have now and attach easily to the wiring so you wouldn't need anything else.

@JamesonC I really appreciate your responses an d the unit sounds really nice. The problem is that I am wanting a unit that is a heat pump and fan stops when temp is reached. Thanks
