Question:

Is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" the only hitch that will fit the 2017 Prius Prime? Thanks, would like at least 3 to compare and contrast.

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24966 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Toyota Prius Prime and will work well for you. The Draw-Tite Sportframe is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. In order to keep dirt and debris from getting inside the receiver tube opening, I recommend using the Rubber Hitch Cover part # 22281 while not in use.

We currently only have two trailer hitch receivers confirmed to fit your 2017 Toyota Prius Prime; the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11473 and the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24966. Both of the above options are a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. The trailer hitches are practically identical but I recommend using the Draw-Tite hitch for two reasons. 1) The Draw-Tite trailer hitch is much more cost effective than the Curt trailer hitch. 2) The Draw-Tite trailer hitch does not require the use of a support strap like part # 18050 for non-towing applications whereas the Curt trailer hitch does. However, if you choose to buy products made here in the U.S.A than that option would be the Curt trailer hitch as the Draw-Tite trailer hitch is made in Mexico. Again, if you can tell me what you will be using the trailer hitch for I would be glad to offer some additional recommendations for you as well.
