The hitch I recommend for your 2017 Toyota RAV4 is the Curt # C13149, which is a confirmed fit. This is a class III hitch with a tongue weight capacity of 525 lbs and a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. The hitch will fit hybrid models of the RAV4 and you will not lose the ability to use the hands-free liftgate sensors.

If you are going to be towing and need to add a 4-way harness you'd want Curt T-Connector # C56350. For a ball mount you are going to want the Curt # C45030, along with either 2" hitch ball # 63845 or possibly 2-5/16" hitch ball # 63847. For a pin and clip that works you will need # C21500.
