How do you remove the rear bump stops on this year truck?

When we removed the rear bump stops on a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 to install a set of the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK25D, we found that by using a screwdriver and placing the end between the jounce spring and mounting cup we were able to pry the spring down and outward as shown in the attached video.
Unfortunately, we have not removed the bump stops on your exact truck (2012 Chevrolet Silverado 3500) but the 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 we did remove them on should be similar if not the same as the process required for your truck.
