Where Does Brake Controller Install Harness # 3016 Install in 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500
Updated 12/04/2017 | Published 12/03/2017 >
Question:
The plug on the wiring harness sent wont snap into place and easily pulls out. Any suggestions to get it to lock into place. The packaging indicates 2014 and 2015 is this still the correct wiring harness for the 16? The plug fits, it just wont lock into place.

The brake controller install harness part # 3016 is the correct harness to install a brake controller in a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 like what you have.
We had the chance to use this harness to install a controller in a 2017 Silverado like what you see in the install video I attached below. You might check it out to make sure you are using the correct port for the install of the controller.
Also inspect the condition of the connector to make sure it's not damaged in anyway.
