Troubleshooting Brake Actuator Leaking from Weep Hole
Updated 11/27/2017 | Published 11/24/2017 >
Question:
Hello I just read that if my titan 60 is leaking out of the weak hole in the fill cap, that I might have blocked lines. My question is if I had block lines then the brakes would not stop. And would the block off Solenoid simulate the same problem. Please help.

If your brake lines were blocked, you would not have proper function on all your brake assemblies. The lockout solenoid would not be an issue leading to weep hole leaking if your brakes are working because it would back pressure up into the master cylinder versus allowing it to flow to the brakes. If the weeping is only happening when you are using the lockout function, then it may simply be too much fluid in the master cylinder.
If you brakes are working properly and there is weeping when in normal use, it could be that you have simply overfilled your master cylinder. The weep hole is designed for this situation. If there is an excess amount, the cap itself may need replacing. The Replacement Master Cylinder Filler Cap for Titan Model 60 Actuators # T4480701 is what you need for a replacement.
