The wiring of a camper shell on a 2003 Ram 2500 would basically be the exact same as the 2004 model.
To wire the third brake light of your camper shell on your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 you will need to find the CHMSL circuit. This will be the circuit that will only carry voltage when the brakes are applied and would not blink with either blinker. This circuit is located behind the spare tire, slightly to the left. There will be a white wire with a brown/tan stripe that is capped and outside the harness. This will be the correct wire to use.
Now to wire up a dome light you will need to find a 12 volt power source. The easiest way to do that is to tap into the 12 volt accessory wire on your 7-way. This will be the circuit at the 1:00 position as you are looking into the connector from the front. You would want to tap into the wire for the circuit behind the connector. For that you could use a Quick-Splice connector like part # SWC501915-1. For a switch we have the part # PK34571.
