Question:
Is the rubber grommet included in this kit the exact same as part number 146-18? 146-18 states its a PVC material and is more expensive. This one just states it as rubber and includes the pigtail for a cheaper price.

Hi Nate,
I got my hands on both gaskets and there are some very slight differences between the # 146-18 and # 166-18K, but overall they're pretty much the exact same thing. Even though the # 146-18 is made of PVC it's still the same consistency as rubber. PVC is typically stiffer and thus is less durable than rubber but this wouldn't be used in a manner that that characteristic would really matter so there really is no notable difference other than price so I'd go with the # 166-18K to save some money and get a wire harness you can hang onto incase your current one goes bad.
