Question:

Can you tell me what the measurement is from the caster wheel plate to the bottom of the wheel itself. I know the wheel is 4 inch. but what is the over all measurement it hangs down from the mounting plate. I have a 2011 Winnebago Aspect 28B and man does it hang down low in the back, wondering if these would hang down too much vs the smaller 2-3 inch solid mount ones and not vs these that swivel ?

The Ultra-Fab Rotating Hitch-Mounted Skid Wheels # UF48-979014, once bolted on the hitch tube on your Class C RV, will extend down from the bottom of the hitch tube by 6-inches. This includes the thickness of the bottom mounting plate all the way down to the bottom edge of the wheel itself. You can see this illustrated in the linked photo that I prepared for you. This kit is also shown in the linked video.

All of our RV skid wheels are shown on the linked page. These include weld-on and bolt-on kits.

Ideally you will select your skid wheels so that they provide minimal loss of ground clearance. If the 6-inch height of the above kit it too much then you might prefer the bolt-on kit # UF48-979017. This will extend below the hitch tube approximately 3-1/2-inches including the mounting plate.

You will need to use your own judgement to select the best option based on the pitch of the road/driveway surfaces on which you drive.
