Is it possible to replace the spindles on this axel with a flanged spindles so I can add brakes?

For a 2,000 lb axle, the Double Lip Grease Seal - ID 1.249" / OD 1.983" - Qty 1 # 34823 is the most standard size grease seal. You may want to use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to confirm these dimensions match your hub and spindle. I've attached a video to assist.

It is possible to add brake flanges using the Brake Mounting Flange for 1-3/4" Round Trailer Axles - 2K # 4-34 but this requires having a professional welding job with proper jig for them to function properly. Another option is to replace your current axle with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs # ASR2000S02 which has a brake flange integrated. You could also upgrade to the complete 3500 lb system with hub/drums # A35RS545E. These options replace your current suspension and your axle and require a 2 inch square tube that fits in the integrated holes to connect the two sides. Let me know if you have further questions.
