I have a question about the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller. I have a trailer that charges the on-board battery through a 7pin connector. Will this brake controller still have the ability to charge the battery?

The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK94FR will still allow your trailer battery to receive a maintenance charge while connected. It is true that the brake controller will draw power from the 12V pin, but it will also provide the 12V pin for your trailer to provide that maintenance charge without issue.
Because it is a deep cycle battery, you may want to fully charge your battery prior to a trip using a battery charger likethe NOCO Genius Mini # 329-GENIUS5. This will charge and maintain your battery so you can leave it connected when storing for long or short periods of time.
