Can a pipe mount like TJP-OP58 be welded onto an existing jack without damaging the internal parts of the jack?

Pipe mounts such as the Replacement Pipe for etrailer and Ram Pipe Mount Swivel Jacks # TJP-OP58 or Bulldog Replacement Pipe Mount for Swivel Jack # BD500339 are meant to be welded on to a swivel jack so there should not be any issues with damage to internal parts of your jack.
