Hey Robert, on the Draw Tite ball mount # 40332 it is 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the beginning of the drop portion of the ball mount. Do you have tight clearances or something that might hit the ball mount if it stuck out to far?

Using that measurement, I can calculate how much I can move the pin hole forward to reduce the pin to ball horizontal distance. A local fabricator can drill a new hole for me. My Audi Q7 recommends no more than 6" for the pin to ball measurement. I need a 7" rise so coupling this ball mount with a ball that has a 2" rise gets me close to level.
