What is the Height of the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K

Question:
the photos show two different heights of the fan. one has what looks like a 4: chamber to lift the height up off the roof while the other photo shows the fan being near the roof without the extra chamber. Question is, can the fan be mounted without that extra chamber?

The lift that you are speaking about (pointed out in the attached picture) for the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K is the interior trim, or otherwise known as the garnish. This is actually the piece that takes up the space that is from the inside ceiling to your roof - it will not add extra height to the vent on top of your roof.
You can install the vent without the garnish, however, it will leave anything between your ceiling and roof exposed on the inside of your trailer and I don't recommend going that route. The garnish can be cut to match your application so it will give the install a clean look as well.
If you check out the review video that I attached you can see where our team member explains this.
When the vent is open it will extend above your roof 9-5/16" but it will only extend about 5" when the vent is closed.
