Troubleshooting MaxxAir Vent Fan that Won't Turn On and Rain Sensor Light On

Question:

One of my max air ceiling fans will not come on either with the manual buttons or the remote. Sometimes the rain sensor light is on sometimes its not. Any ideas? Up until yesterday its been working fine no problems. Its a 2015 trailer so relatively new.

I spoke with my contact at MaxxAir regarding your vent like the MaxxFan # MA00-04500K. He said what you are experiencing might be caused by a short in the rain sensor. Since that light is coming off and on, this is likely the issue and what is also causing the fan not to turn on. He recommended taking a rag with some rubbing alcohol and simply cleaning out this sensor. Hopefully once it is cleaned out, everything should start working again as normal.
