Question:

I have a 2000 Ford F-250 4x4 standard height with 2inch receiver and a 2017 Ford F-250 4x4 standard height with 2inch collar inside the 2 1/2 inch receiver . Trying to decide between the B W TS10048B 5inch or the TS20048B 7 inch . Have 5 trailers,no bumper mount camper so all trailers are standard height utility trailer,16foot cargo trailer,3 horse trailer,and 2 small boats. I am not planning on lifting either truck but for now only purchase 1 hitch to use in both trucks.Professional advice will be appreciated

For your standard height trucks and trailers, the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10048B will work very well for both of your trucks. This will not only work well with all 5 of your trailers but will also give you great ground clearance. If you had a lift on your truck, then I'd recommend the 7 inch drop # BWTS10049B, but it won't be needed on a non-lifted truck and will give you less ground clearance.

The 2 inch shank on the # BWTS10048B will work very well with your 2 inch receiver on your 2000 Ford F-250 and on your 2017 Ford F-250 when you use the reducer collar. I recommend using a hitch lock to secure your ball mount. For your trucks, I recommend the BOLT Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches - Codes to Ford Side-Cut Key # BL7023585. You will need one for each truck because they use your ignition key to code to.
