Question:

I have an old escort boat trailer, looking to replace the axle. Hub face to Hub face is 61. I also would like to replace the hubs. 2000 lb capacity with 5 lugs is preferred

The closest through axle we have is the Dexter Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,000 lbs # 20545I-ST-60-15. This is obviously 1 inch shorter and has springs centers at 48 inches apart. If the spring locations or the 1/2 inch on each side will cause problems, then I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs # A20RS545. This comes with the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern hubs as well, but does not require any additional suspension and the length won't be an issue because there is not through axle. You will neet to use a 2x2 square bar that can be obtained locally that will need to be integrated into the assemblies for proper support unless used where there is a cross brace in the trailer.
