Longer Shocks For Flipped Axle
Updated 08/10/2017 | Published 08/09/2017 >
Question:
I had my arctic fox and had the axle flipped. The shock mounting was moved as part of the kit. I would now like to replace the shocks. I am sure that the mounting points have changed. How do I measure the for new shocks? I can measure from the current mounting points. Can I coordinate that to a shock size?

Expert Reply:
You will need to measure the available space between your current mounts. Another option is the Lippert shocks in kit # LC281281. This shock kit has 13-1/2-inch extended length shocks with the axle placed above the spring stack. You can refer to the linked diagram to see the usual placement of the shock. I also linked the written installation instructions. My technical contact at Lippert Components confirmed the axle position should not affect the installation so as long as the length works, you shouldn't have functional issues.
