When you’re towing something that really matters, this 16" x 6" steel wheel is built to handle the weight and keep rolling steady. It’s rated for 3,050 lbs and meets Department of Transportation specifications, so you know it’s made for serious use. The 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts give it solid, dependable mounting strength for everyday hauling or long trips.
Moisture, road salt, and coastal air can eat through a cheap wheel fast. The galvanized finish on this Mini Mod steel rim seals out corrosion before it starts. It’s tough against rust and stays looking clean even after repeated dunking or long-term outdoor storage. The modular design adds extra strength while keeping that simple, classic trailer look.
For setups that run high-pressure tires, this wheel doesn’t hold you back. With a higher-rated valve stem like the # AM20906, it easily handles 110+ psi without issue. That means you get peace of mind when running heavy-duty tires at their proper pressure—no guessing, no compromises.
Everything about this wheel is clear and to the point: 0 offset, a 4.27" pilot diameter, and a sturdy steel build that matches DOT standards. It’s simple to mount, lines up true, and gives you a solid starting point for a reliable trailer setup that feels right every time you hit the road.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Americana steel mod trailer wheel. Now this wheel is made with a sturdy steel construction. It's a nice durable design. It's very strong and dependable, has a galvanized finish on it, which provides superior protection from rust and corrosion. Nice galvanized finish all the way around, and it is the modular design. The mod design is simply these holes that go around the wheel, so it's a mod design instead of a spoke or a solid wheel design.
That gives the wheel a really nice look and just overall really nice style for this unit. The high quality wheel meets Department of Transportation specifics. When it comes to the dimensions of the wheel, it's a 16" diameter. Now, the diameter is measured from bead seat to bead seat, so from this point here straight across to this point here. That's a 16" diameter, and then the width is 6" on this unit. That's measured from bead seat to bead seat as well, so from this point here straight across to this point here, 6" wide. The bolt pattern on the unit is 6 on 5 1/2", so that means that we have 6 lug holes.
Since it's an even number, to get the measurement you just pick one and measure from the center of one directly across to the center of the other, and that's 5 1/2". Again bolt pattern is 6 on 5 1/2", uses a wheel bolt size of 1/2" by 20. The pilot hole diameter . That's the diameter of the hole here at the center, that's 4.27". This hole right here is the whole for the valve stem.
When it comes to the capacity of this wheel, that's 3,050 pounds. That's going to do it for today's look at the Americana steel mod trailer wheel.

It's EXACTLY what I ordered and the turn around time was ASTOUNDING!!! Thank you etrailer.com
Received items in timely manner. All are as advertised and excellent quality. This is the second time we ordered products from e-trailer. Both have been a good experience.
Excellent service from etrailer! Thanks Kurt
Great wheel Same style as mt Wendell AL wheels on the AIrstream
Great looking and love the anti-rust qualities of galvanize. This is my spare and my previous steel wheel is so rusted I am afraid to use it.
The order and the delivery process were expedient and simplistic. The quality of the wheels meets my needs, and because they are already hot dip galvanized ("not" electroplate), they should hold up well against water and corrosion, and this allows me to avoid sandblasting and galvanizing myself, down the road. I am pleased and gratified.

So far I have mounted only one tire on one of the wheels as a spare however, I have four more tires to mount and balance. Whether I mount the next four with or without tubes is one consideration and how they work forwithin automotive use is another consideration, but I am optimistic. The wheels have identical weight ratings to automotive wheels and the fact that they have zero offset should not be an issue. I suspect that I will be pleased. The wheels will not see high speeds because they will be fitted to an old Toyota Land Cruiser diesel model.

Great upgrade. Pulled the trailer half dozen times with these tires and wheels. No longer worried about blowouts with the Sailun tires. Sway has been reduced dramatically. Especially notable on windy days.
