Question:
I am looking for a weight dist. hitch w/sway control for my 2014 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab w/ tow package. I have a Salem Cruise Lite 196bh. Dry weight: 3323 lbs. - Hitch weight says 388 lbs. I was looking at the Curt MV - C17063. I think it is too much for what I have. But I am looking to not spend more than 300.00 for a weight dist. hitch w/sway control. Wanted to see if you can help me choose the correct hitch. I was also looking for a spare tire/wheel for the camper as well. The specs show 225/75R 15D.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Best option would be the Fastway e2 kit part # FA94-00-0600 which has a 2 point friction sway control system, matches your price range and has a tongue weight range that matches what you need.
For a spare we have the part # TA57VR which would be a great option if you have a 6-lug bolt pattern or the Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" White Mod Wheel # A225R645WM if you have the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
