The 2011 Ford Sport Edge models do have a body kit and wheels that require specific hitch designs to install without damaging the vehicle's distinctive look. Installing any hitch will require a simple modification of the heat shield that you will need a pair of metal shears to do, but is easy to complete.
I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Reciever, part # 75728. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" reciever, giving you access to a wide range of both bike racks and towing capabilities. I've included a video of this hitch being installed on a 2011 Ford Edge Sport so you can get an idea of how this is done.
As far as a bike rack, you'll want to pick based on size and types of bikes.
Step-through, kids and "Aggressive" (BMX and Mountain style) bikes will require an adapter bar like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar, Part # 64005, which will create a "level" frame to keep the bikes from potentially impacting the ground when they are in the rack.
Finally, I recommend a SportRack Hitch and Cable Lock pack, part # A32022 to increase the security of your rig and help keep your bikes together. The hitch lock keeps the hitch secured and the same-key opens the cable lock that secures your bikes together to deter theft.
