The people at B&W made removing and re-installing the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 very easy. All you will need to do to remove it is take the head off of the assembly, as that will make the base lighter, then loosen up the tension bolt that sits under the head. Once that is loose enough you will want to disengage the lock for the B&W Gooseneck hitch and then remove the base of the B&W Companion. I have attached a video of the Companion being installed on a 2005 Chevy Silverado that you can use as a reference. You will just need to reverse the installation steps for removal.
