Question:

I believe that the Recon is an update from Hard Rock package, but am unsure. Which tow bar would I use, the bx1126 or the bx1134? What other accessories are required for the Aventa 10k tow bars? Thank you!

Tow bars are not vehicle-specific but base plates are and for some Jeeps that have special bumpers the parts needed to flat tow the vehicle can change. All flat towing set-ups require the tow bar, base plates (or a towing-compatible bumper), safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit, a high/low hitch adapter and a braking system. You can check out the linked article for more on each of these items.

Part # BX1126 fits the standard factory bumper only, and for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock Edition we offer the Blue Ox base plate kit # BX1134. These will work great with your Alpha tow bar # BX7380. Since the tow bar includes safety cables you do not have to buy them separately.

The best braking system option is the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR, which offers simple installation without permanent mods to your Jeep, is fully portable and which provides wireless operation. Use outlet kit # RM-9332 to deliver 12V power to it. This and other braking system options are shown on the linked page.

For a wiring kit you have several options (shown on the linked page) that include simple magnetic lights # TL21RK, diode kits # RM-154 and custom-fit plug-in harness kit # HM56200.
