Question:

I pull my 40foot 5th wheel over some long wash board dirt roads and have to listen to my rock tamers bounce all over the place very noisy and over time loosens the set nuts. I was thinking about a sleeve to eliminate the rattle but I have not found anything to accommodate the 1/2inch space I need to eliminate. I found BX88225 but I am curious if this bulky anti rattle will fit along with my rock tamers? Have any techs or customers tried this? Just curious if I can use for my desired configuration. Thanks!!!

Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II - 2-1/2" Hitches Item # BX88225 would not work with your Rock Tamers because it needs some of the same space occupied by the Rock Tamer mounting bracket. If you are using a hollow shank ball mount, I recommend using XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2-1/2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Span # SHP2040 to reduce movement.

If it is a solid shank, then I recommend Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp for 2" Hitch Receivers # GY88XR which wedges itself between the ball mount and the receiver tube to take up some of the slop. I have linked videos of both of these anti-rattle devices for you.
