Will Parking and Rear Hatch Sensors Work After Installing Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver on 2017 BMW X3

Hi, My 2017 X3 has the hands free hatch opening functionality, as well as parking distance sensors. Will these continue to function properly with the hitch receiver installed? Thanks

When installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76226 on your 2017 BMW X3 the parking sensors will not be impacted. However, the hands free rear hatch feature could be impacted but just kick to the side of the receiver and it will work fine.
If you plan to tow a trailer with the X3 the wiring harness I recommend is the Curt # C59236.

Have a Curt hitch and Yakima bike rack coming for a 2021 X3. Do you know how to bypass rear parking sensors not going crazy when they detect foreign object (bike rack)? My car has collision prevention, if I even come close to a traffic cone it auto slams the brakes. Pretty sure a hitch and bike rack will make sensors go nuts and the car will stop . Help if you can.
