Question:

What dual kayak rack system would work best for a 2015 Nissan Armada with a factory installed roof rack? We will be hauling two kayaks to the beach this summer. Is it best to have a rack for each one? With the height of my vehicle I am a little concerned about lifting the kayaks on to a rack. Does the side-load feature help with that?

For the factory roof rack on your 2015 Nissan Armada I recommend using Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount Item # S512 with Expansion Arm for Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier Item # RRS512X. With these 2 items you can carry 2 kayaks that together weigh up to 99 pounds.

To help reach the roof easier when loading and unloading the kayaks I recommend using a small step stool, # TE97FR, which you can store in the vehicle for when it is needed.

While there are load assist kayak carriers getting 2 of them next to each other requires very long crossbars and they have to overhang the mounting feet several inches which is a design not used on factory roof racks.
