Will the Timbren Springs # TGMRCK25S Work on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 with Firestone Air Springs

Question:

will the timbren rear suspension work in conjunction with the firestone air bag system? I have a 1/2 ton siverado. I would really like to have back up for my present system.

I spoke with my contact at Timbren, and he said that the Timbren suspension can work with the Firestone air springs as long as there is room to mount the rubber springs above the rear axle. The Timbren rubber springs will replace the axle bump stops on the vehicles frame. As long as you still have the bump stops on your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, you will be able to use the Timbren Vehicle Suspension, part # TGMRCK25S. If the bump stops have been removed then the Timbren suspension will not work.

I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Timbren suspension. It will show where the Timbren springs would be located on your vehicle.
