I have the perfect size tire and wheels for you but the 4.80/4.00-8 tire is not the same as the 4.80-12 tire. Both tires have the same section width of 4.80 inches which is found by measuring the length of tread across the top of the tire. However, the 4.80/4.00-8 tire is designed to fit a 8" diameter wheel whereas the 4.80-12 tire is designed to fit a 12" diameter wheel.
You will need the 4.80-12 wheel and tire with 4 on 4 lug pattern for your trailer and for this, I recommend using the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel part # AM30620. This wheel and tire combination has a maximum load rating of 990 lbs. at 90 psi with an 65 mph speed rating. They also include a 5 year warranty on the tire and a 1 year warranty on the wheel.
I have attached a list to all of our 4.80-12 wheel and tire combos with 4 on 4 lug pattern in addition to a few trailer tire help articles for your review.
