Do Trailer Tire and Wheel Combinations Need to be Balanced

Question:

Is it necessary to have one of your assembled trailer tire w/rim balanced. I am getting mixed reviews of whether or not this is necessary with a factory assembled tire/rim.

The tire and wheel combinations that we have available, such as the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12 Inch Wheel # AM31202, are mounted so that the high heavy spot on the tire is aligned with the low light spot on the wheel. While this is different than how car tires are balanced (with weights on a balancing machine), it does provide sufficient balance for trailer tires.

While it is not necessary, you can certainly still have the tire and wheel combos balanced at a local tire shop if desired.
