I will be happy to recommend some bike racks so you can carry your bikes on your 2011 Kia Sportage. An increasingly popular rack is the BikeWing # LGA54FR. Since this bike rack holds the bikes at the wheels it will work with many different bike styles. It is also light weight at just 20 pounds so it is easy to maneuver and store. Bikes with fenders or baskets on the back will not fit though.
One of the easiest bike racks to load is the Kuat Transfer, # KU74FR, because of the U-shaped body. Loading the first bike is much easier than on other platform style racks because you can walk right into the U. This is also a versatile rack but if the bikes have front fenders then they will not work with this rack because the hook clamps down on the tire just ahead of the forks or brakes.
And for a third fantastic bike rack option the Saris Freedom # SA4412B is a great choice. Bikes with baskets or fenders will not be a problem for this rack because it holds the bikes at the frames. The cradles can be positioned up or down and they rotate to fit many different bike styles.
These are all hitch mounted bike racks so if your 2011 Kia Sportage does not have a hitch I recommend # 36510 for a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver or # 75717 for a Class III with a 2 inch receiver. All of the above bike racks will fit either hitch.
