Question:

when running the wire from the back bumper jack to the battery-do we first go to the circuit breaker and then the battery -and do we go to the positive side of the battery only....

When you are installing the brake controller like the P3 # 90195, you will need to install the circuit breaker between the 7-way connector and the battery post.

You also use a circuit breaker between the brake controller and the positive battery post.

I have attached a drawing that shows how the wiring is run when installing a brake controller.
