Does the ignition need to be on? We have a blue ox towbar

Expert Reply:
According to page 547 of the online owner's manual for your 2014 Jeep Wrangler, when flat towing with a tow bar, like the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420, the engine must be turned OFF but you must leave the ignition switch in the unlocked ACC position.
Also keep in mind that you will need to disconnect the battery.
You will want to consult your copy of the owner's manual to make sure that this information is the same and that you follow any other special instructions for flat towing.
