Installation Of Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller

Question:

I have a 2007 Newmar Essex with an air brake connector mounted to the hitch. Will the Hayes unit mount to the exterior, and function? The directions I found on your website are unclear. Thanks,

The Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # HA100400C mounts to the inside of your 2007 Nemar Essex at the dash just like other electric brake controllers will. It needs to be installed on the inside of the vehicle for proper function. It has a slide bar override that needs to be within reach for emergency trailer braking.

The wiring connects just the same as an electric brake controller. Blue is trailer brake output, red is stop light swith, white is ground, and black is power. The air input port thread size is 1/8 inch NPT. I've attached an article to assist.
