What is the Weight Capacity Of The Polar Aluminum Butt Hinge?

Question:

wondering if this butt hinge would work on a fold down bed platform in a van...how much weight can it hold? platform would be 3/4 inch plywood, 6 feet long, 36 inches wide with a floor to platform support. How many would I need and what do you think? Thanks

The Polar Butt Hinge - Aluminum # PLR1005 is not weight rated so I can't confirm a weight amount for you. These can be used on a fold down platform like you mentioned and have been according to some of our customers. The more hinges you use, the stronger it will be. I suggest using 4 for your application.
