Question:

I am going to use 4 of these so I can swing the tongue away on my I beam trailer. What is the rating in pounds per hinge? Thank you

The Polar Butt Hinge- Aluminum # PLR1005 is not rated for a specific weight according to the manufacturer. We've seen customers using 3-4 of these on ramp doors that weigh 500-lbs or so, so using 4 of them on your trailer tongue might work depending on how heavy the trailer and the tongue weight. If you can tell me some of the weights you're dealing with, I'm happy to give you a more precise answer.
