The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR includes an in-coach RF controller that plugs into a 12V outlet in the cab of the motorhome. This unit allows you to have the manual braking override of other brake controllers, and also allows you to capture any trouble codes. This unit has internal sensors similar to an accelerometer that senses the braking action of the motorhome and sends a signal to the brake system in the towed vehicle.
Since it is a proportional system, it will apply the brakes in the same proportion to the braking action of the motorhome. The base unit installed in your towed vehicle has an actuating arm that physically clamps to the vehicle brake pedal to cause the vehicle to brake. I've attached some videos to help.
