Needing a Replacement Boat Winch to Replace Current Shelby Winch Model 5405

My boat winch is a Shelby 5405 1400 pounds, 20 foot 2 inch strap. I need to replace it and want to use the same bolt pattern. I do not want to drill more holes in the trailer. What will replace this? Thanks

The best option to replace your current Shelby Winch would be to use a winch like the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch, Single Speed, # DL15303. This winch has a 1,400 lbs horizontal pulling capacity and has the zinc Tuffplate finish for rust and corrosion protection.

Unfortunately, Shelby is no longer in business and the mounting plate of this winch is the closest I found to your current winch. However, you may have to reposition mounting holes to install this winch on your trailer.

The Winch Strap with Safety Hook, # DL24260, will be a 2 inch wide x 20 feet strap that I recommend using with the # DL15303 winch.
